Product Publishing Glossary

Use this glossary to understand common publishing-preparation terms used across marketplace and social publishing workflows.

Listing readiness

A practical check that asks whether the product title, images, description, price, shipping, margin, and key details are ready enough to publish.

Main image

The primary product image shown first in a marketplace listing or search result. It should make the product clear quickly.

Supporting image

Additional images that explain size, material, use, package contents, compatibility, condition, or important details.

Safe area

The central part of a visual where important text or subject matter is less likely to be covered by interface elements or cropping.

Small-preview readability

A check that asks whether a visual is still understandable when shown as a thumbnail, search result, or feed preview.

Bullet points

Short listing sections used to communicate key product benefits, details, or buyer-facing information quickly.

Keyword stuffing

Adding repeated or unrelated keywords in a title, description, or caption. It usually makes content harder to read and can reduce trust.

Margin check

A practical calculation that compares price, cost, fees, shipping, and expected profit before publishing or selling.
